The question I’ve been repeatedly asked since President Trump won reelection is "what does this mean for the future of green energy?” Despite a lot of consternation in the media and various interest groups, I think the outlook is positive for one basic reason — President Trump is pro-energy.

Understanding the President’s Executive Order on Energy

On January 20, 2025, President Trump issued an Executive Order declaring a national energy emergency. The order highlights the nation's inadequate energy infrastructure and its dependence on foreign energy sources as threats to national security and economic stability. To address these concerns, the EO directs federal agencies to use all lawful authorities to expedite domestic energy production, enhance energy infrastructure, and reduce reliance on foreign sources.

Key points of the Executive Order include:

  • Strengthening domestic energy production and infrastructure.
  • Prioritizing reliable, diversified, and affordable energy solutions.
  • Reducing vulnerability to foreign energy dependence.
  • Enhancing the resilience of energy supply chains to support economic and military security.

Despite what many alarmists may tell you, these priorities align with the principles that many of our partners, customers, and allies in the renewable energy space have long championed.

Green Energy is Energy Security

At Green CHP, we recognize and support those who have invested in decarbonization — not just because of policy incentives, but because they understand that sustainability and economic success go hand in hand. Companies and institutions across industries have actively worked to reduce their carbon footprints while improving energy efficiency, strengthening their bottom line, and contributing to a more resilient energy future. We believe in supporting that momentum, ensuring that renewable solutions are not just viable, but economically compelling.

The administration’s push to harden the national grid and invest in energy infrastructure is a critical step forward in achieving continuity and energy resilience. However, for this strategy to be truly effective, renewable energy must be a key part of the equation. Domestic energy security cannot rely solely on fossil fuels or centralized utility grids — it must also leverage decentralized, resilient, and renewable solutions.

Our technologies deliver reliable, cost-effective, and sustainable energy solutions tailored to the needs of commercial and industrial users. Our renewable combined heat and power (CHP) solution integrates photovoltaic-thermal (PVT) panels with highly efficient thermal energy capture, providing both electricity and hot water at high efficiency. This not only reduces energy costs but also enhances resilience by allowing facilities to generate power independently from the grid, making it a strong option for manufacturing plants, food processors, and other high-energy-demand industries.

Meanwhile, Jules Hydrogen, our advanced hydrogen production solution, leverages Thermal Hydrogen Synthesis (THS) to optimize hydrogen production efficiency. By using renewable thermal energy to enhance electrolyzer performance, Jules Hydrogen significantly reduces both operational costs and carbon emissions while supporting the expansion of clean hydrogen infrastructure. This makes it an ideal solution for industries looking to integrate hydrogen as a long-term energy carrier while maintaining cost-effectiveness and sustainability.

A Strategic Opportunity

Rather than being sidelined, renewable energy sources have the opportunity to demonstrate their value in strengthening national energy security. By investing in domestic renewable infrastructure and integrating these technologies into the broader energy strategy, we can help fulfill White House objectives while ensuring businesses and industries have cost-effective, reliable power solutions.

The reality is that energy resilience and decarbonization are not mutually exclusive — they can and should be pursued in tandem. The companies that have taken the initiative to decarbonize, improve efficiency, and invest in renewables have not only contributed to sustainability but have also strengthened their competitive positions. This is the future of energy: solutions that are both sustainable and profitable.

We support the administration’s commitment to energy security and infrastructure investment, but we also believe that renewables must be recognized as a fundamental component of that strategy. The future of energy isn’t about choosing one source over another — it’s about smart, integrated solutions that ensure long-term economic and environmental sustainability.

Partner with Green CHP to Strengthen Energy Security and Sustainability

The Executive Order on energy security calls for stronger domestic infrastructure, diversified energy sources, and reduced reliance on foreign energy. Green CHP’s advanced solar thermal-electric systems and data-driven energy solutions directly support these goals — delivering cost-effective, reliable power while reducing carbon emissions.

Now is the time to integrate renewables into a broader energy strategy that enhances resilience and economic competitiveness. Contact us today to build a tailored energy plan that aligns with your strategic objectives, ensuring long-term sustainability and operational success.
